Ring hike around the Marmarole group.
A trek with superlative panoramas immersed in the Dolomites, a World Heritage Site. From refuge to refuge, 3+2 days of nature, fun, taste, tradition and relaxation.
Marmarole Runde… for those who love walking!
June 11-15
The Marmarole group is located in the center of Cadore, between the Val del Boite which rises towards Cortina d’Ampezzo and Auronzo di Cadore on the east side, to the south the valley which connects Pieve di Cadore with Calalzo and Domegge.
It is a little frequented group, with rather long accesses, with refuges only on the outside, with many demanding peaks to reach, a little less high than the nearby Mount Antelao or Sorapis, but with an unexplored flavour.
DETAILS OF THE TREKKING
We will leave from Auronzo di Cadore to climb slowly towards the Marmarole, reaching the first refuge which faces south, on the high altitude grasslands of Pian dei Buoi, the Ciareido refuge.
From here begins a nice flat stretch up to the Baion refuge and then again to the Chiggiato refuge which will host us for the evening.
Difference in altitude first day: about 950 meters uphill
The following morning we will immediately descend towards the Val d’Oten and then go up to the Galassi refuge at the foot of the Antelao peak. From here, with another hour’s walk we will reach the San Marco refuge for an overnight stay.
Difference in altitude second day: 1000 meters uphill and 1000 downhill
The third day of trekking plans to climb to the highest point of the trek at an altitude of 2255, forcella Grande, to then make a long and gentle descent to return to Auronzo.
Difference in altitude third day: 550 meters uphill and 1250 downhill
The trek is truly spectacular, in little frequented places, where we will feel fully immersed in the mountains for an exceptional charge of energy.
Level and difficulty: a good level of training and habit of mountain walking is required.
In the following two days we will walk along the paths of two of the greatest wonders of the Dolomites: the Tre Cime and the lake of Sorapis…

The cost includes:

Total cost for the five days: €250/person
Possibility to participate also exclusively in the three-day trek in Marmarole
Not included: half board service in the refuge, other meals and transport.
A deposit of €70 is required to confirm the booking.
