Selvaggio Blu Hiking

A trek along the east coast of Sardinia, in the heart of the Gulf of Orosei, among cliffs, Mediterranean scrubland, spectacular bays, and nights bivouacking under the stars.

The Selvaggio Blu is considered one of the most fascinating and intense routes in the Mediterranean. In this hiking version, the journey retains all the power and beauty of the original route, but is offered in a more accessible format, designed for those who want to experience it without tackling the more technical sections of the classic version.

You walk for several days in a wild and isolated environment, far from inhabited areas, immersed in some of Sardinia’s most evocative landscapes. Each day alternates panoramic trails, descents to the sea, stretches through Mediterranean scrubland, bays with crystal-clear water, and moments of sharing at the bivouac.

It’s not just a trek, but a complete experience: you set up camp together, live outdoors, dine in company, sleep under the stars, and let yourself be enveloped by a powerful, essential, and deeply Mediterranean landscape.

Why choose this trek

This route is ideal for those who want to approach the Selvaggio Blu experience without tackling an overly technical version. The hiking option allows you to savor the atmosphere of the route, its adventurous dimension, and the spectacular nature of the coast, with an approach better suited to those without specific experience in climbing or rope descents.

The value of the journey lies in the combination of walking, sea, wild nature, and group life. Each evening the bivouac becomes an integral part of the experience: you cook together, share stories, and live in direct contact with the environment.

The presence of a guide allows you to tackle the trek with greater peace of mind, both in managing the stages and in logistical organization, in a context where autonomy and knowledge of the territory are fundamental.

The journey begins from Santa Maria Navarrese, an ideal starting point to enter the Selvaggio Blu territory.

The first stage leads to Us Puggius, where the first overnight stay is planned. It will be a day of settling into the rhythm of the trek and the more authentic dimension of the journey.

The evening will take place in a characteristic setting, with a welcome from the shepherd, tasting of local products, and overnight stay in a simple and evocative structure.

Day 2: From Us Puggius to Porto Pedrosu
From Us Puggius you continue toward Porto Pedrosu, one of the first spectacular bays of the route.

The walk allows you to enter more and more into the wild landscape of the eastern Sardinian coast, among trails immersed in Mediterranean scrubland and glimpses of the sea.

The day ends with a bivouac under the stars, one of the most intense moments of the experience.

Day 3: From Porto Pedrosu to Irbidossili
